HistoryThirty years after their arrival in Pauillac, Tesseron can show the satisfaction of having progressively and completely restructured the vineyard, renovated the technical tool and the farm buildings.

It was at the beginning of the 18th century that Jean-François de Pontet, grand equerry of the king became governor of the Medoc, gathers several parcels of land located in Pauillac. A few years later, his descendants add vineyards adjoining the place called Canet. And so is born one of the largest wine estates in the Médoc. One hundred years later, the famous classification of 1855 does not forget Pontet-Canet, which integrates the elite of the Médoc viticulture. This climb did not escape Herman Cruse, who bought the property in 1865. The Cruse family kept Pontet-Canet for 110 years, until another merchant, Guy Tesseron, bought it in 1975.
