HistoryLocated in the heart of Libourne, the singularity of Château Quinault L'Enclos is to be a city vineyard, whose origins date back to the Gallo-Roman era. This property of 20 hectares, close to the Dordogne, benefits from a micro-climate conducive to the cultivation of the vine.

The grape variety is typical and typical of the right bank of the Garonne: Merlot dominates (83%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) complete the grape variety. The average age of the vineyard is 45 years old and the oldest vines in production date back to 1934.

These old vines make up a very interesting genetic heritage. They make it possible to obtain complex grapes at the same time as measured yields. The high age of the vineyard and the soil composed of hot gravel constitute a soil favorable to a production of high quality.
