LE BORDEAUX DE MAUCAILLOU 2014
This excellent wine comes from the beautiful property that Château Maucaillou acquired in 2003 along the Garonne, right bank in Baurech.
Maucaillou, it's a beautiful family saga. A story of patience and passion. Originally, there is a castle built in 1875, surrounded by five hectares of vineyards.
On their arrival on the estate in 1929, the brothers Dourthe, Roger and André, devote all their efforts to enlarge the vineyard and bring it to twenty hectares in 1967. Philippe Dourthe, son of Roger, then takes the orders of Maucaillou and adds, in forty years, 67 additional hectares and installs Maucaillou on the three privileged domes of the Moulis appellation.
In 2006, Pascal Dourthe took over the management of Château Maucaillou, supported in his task by his two sisters Caroline and Magalie.
Cabernet Sauvignon 45%, Merlot 43%, Cabernet Franc 12%.
Tasting notes :
Dress violet ruby with red fruits on the nose. On the palate, persistent length for a good Bordeaux Superior.
